Patrick Chan's amazing performance at the 2013 world skating championships

Patrick Chan wowed audiences with an amazing short program performance at the World Figure Skating Championships on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He opened his program with a quadruple toe loop triple toe loop combination, followed by a huge triple Axel. His program also included a triple Lutz and level four spins. Even the steps he did covered the arena's length with grace and ease.

Everyone who has seen Chan skate have said that this performance on his home Canadian ice in London, Ontario, Canada was simply spectacular. The arena was silent at times as the audience watched in awe.

His total segment score was 98.37 points, which has been reported as a world record.

Chan has lived and trained in Colorado Springs since 2010. Banners honoring the world figure skating champion hang inside the Colorado Springs World Arena Ice Hall's Olympic ice rink.
