On the patio, Belly Wine Bar ushers in the warm weather and the changing of the seasons (beat it, winter!). The love child of Kendall Square food and wine mainstays, The Blue Room and Central Bottle Wine + Provisions, Belly Wine Bar takes nose to tail dining to the next level, pairing it with an extensive and playful wine and cheese program. At Belly, you’ll find crazy good charcuterie, salumi, and whole animal cookery, all made with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients by Chef Andrew Bonner and team. Cheese also gets top billing at Belly with 10 cheeses curated weekly by Central Bottle’s Cheesemonger Andrew Rich. The food is designed to pair perfectly with Belly’s extensive wine list which runs the gamut from the off-beat, to the geeky and the classics.And with this warmer season, Belly wine bar announces new offerings and events on the patio this summer.
Outdoor dining enthusiasts will delight in the new L-shaped bar that will debut on Belly’s patio, providing prime real estate for viewing all of the activity on the wood-burning grill that will be fired up nightly. Not to mention the return of summertime favorites, including fried chicken, patio themed parties (beginning with the anticipated Txakoli Fest on May 22), and simply basking in the convivial atmosphere and sipping a glass (or many) of Lambrusco under the twinkling lights!

Lunch Grill Love

Say “so long!” to the days of spending lunch hour eating behind the computer, and “what up!” to soaking up Vitamin D on Belly’s patio. Guests can feast from the patio’s wood grill and order from a daily changing lineup of dishes, served alongside a rotating menu of seasonal sides, iced tea and Narragansett Summer Ale.

Al Fresco Spare Parts

An outdoor version of Belly’s popular Spare Parts board will be available al fresco. Guests are invited to walk up to the grill for a straight-from-the-coals service of meaty mouth-watering items, such as sweet + spicy duck wings, lamb sliders and ever-changing sausages. Eating with hands is encouraged. Of course, for those that prefer traditional service, a server will also be available.

Hot town, it’s summer in the city! Despite the heat it’ll be alright because Belly’s patio will be swooning with the sounds of live Dixieland jazz and the beats of Bossa Nova on the first Sunday of the month (note: July will be the second Sunday). Idea is simple - gather, imbibe, and experience some quality music, food and a laugh or two with a friend (even better if it is a stranger!). Plus for the first time ever Belly will offer bites on the grill starting at 3:00 PM with music beginning at 7:00 PM, so patio partiers can satiate both their stomachs and their souls.
