Finally, the temperature is up and spirits are soaring. Baseball is in full swing, sleeves are shortening, and shoes are being kicked off. Spring is here, and summer is quickly approaching!
Park the car in the garage and take a stroll downtown. Not only is the view impeccable, but the air is aromatic, the sun is shining brightly, and the drinks are cold. Most of the Arena District sports bars have outdoor patios for these very reasons. What bars, though, have outdoor patios with outdoor bars? What a perfectly timed question!
343 Front Street Tavern, located just feet from Nationwide Arena, has a large wooden deck-style patio with an outdoor bar, and a great view of downtown. Heading down Park Street, Brothers and GasWerks (across from the North Market) have gigantic outdoor patios, with fully stocked bars. Both have lights outside; perfect for a nice evening out with friends. Bar Louie has an elegant patio, one made for wine and cocktails. With an outdoor fireplace and a gorgeous view of the city, the patio at Bar Louie boasts extravagance.
Not just a patio, but a separate atmosphere altogether, RBar’s outdoor scene has tables and chairs, is beautifully lined with plants, and has a big screen television. Yes, watch the game while sitting outside in the sun with friends!
Other bars in the Arena District that have outdoor patios and outdoor entertainment/festivities are Big Woodys, Mozaik Lounge, The Big Bang, Garage Bar, Park Street Patio, Gordon Biersch, Elevator, Park Street Tavern, and A & R Music Bar, located directly next to the LC Pavilion. Of course, there are more sports bars and patios to venture to than can easily be compiled into a list.
Grab a margarita, sit in the sun with a friend, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Welcome to the patios of the Arena District. Enjoy!
