Patches is dying, and in need of someone to make his last days special, his YouCaring page announced March 28.
Patches, one of the Judson mill dogs in Greenville who needed help, and found it with Carmen's Rescue. A kennel was built to get him off the chain he'd been on his entire life.
This sweet boy recently developed a bad cough and was given a grim prognosis. Patches was taken to a vet, where it was also learned he's high heartworm positive.
The vet broke the bad news saying
"He can die anytime , tonight, tomorrow, next week ... maybe next month. There is not a lot we can do for him. Only make his life for the reminding time pain less so he don't has to suffer so much."
Patches owner surrendered him to Carmen's Rescue in Greenville after getting the bad news. Patches is currently at the vet, and will be boarded at Top Dog unless a caring person will come forward to take him.
Right now Patches needs a strong person to take him home. Someone who knows his time on earth is very short now, but still wants to show him the love he so desperately deserves.
Patches lived his whole life on a chain until Carmen's Rescue built him a kennel. He's good with other dogs. It would be wonderful if someone would come forward to offer him an indoor home for the time he has left.
Whether it's a few days or a few weeks, there must be someone out there willing to fill his days with cuddles, good food and lots of love.
To see more on Patches, please see his YouCaring webpage. If you can offer this dear boy a home, please contact Carmen on the webpage. Donations are encouraged. It will cost money for his continued care, and if not for that, Patches should be spoiled with doggy treats.
