Pat McGee is a shining example of a Washington area musician who has made it big. The Bishop Denis J. O’Connell alumnus is back in Northern Virginia this weekend playing two shows at the famous Birchmere concert hall. The show is billed as a reunion show and should feature former and present members of the Pat McGee Band. Matt Duke is scheduled to open both shows.
The doors will open at 6 pm Friday, January 4, 2013 and Saturday, January 5, 2013. The music is scheduled to start at 7:30. Matt Duke has area roots as well being born in Reston, Virginia. He grew up in southern New Jersey. He will return to the area with a fresh EP of new songs called Love on a Major Scale. Duke usually plays as a solo acoustic artist but don’t let that fool you he sites 90s grunge music as an influence. Pat McGee will surely bring the energy. McGee will certainly play tracks from his latest release No Wrong Way to Make it Right along with many fan favorites from his past albums.
