Model Pat Cleveland was honored tonight, October 9, 2013 at the 3rd Annual United Colors of Fashion Gala at Lexington Avenue Armory on in New York City.
Cleveland, who has been modeling for nearly 50 years and looks ageless, looked stunning tonight in a tangerine orange layered gown, accessorized with a chunky necklace and orange peeptoe pumps.
Joining Pat at the gala were several model legends of the 1980’s, Irina Pantaeva, as well as Apollonia Kotero (of Prince fame!), fashion stylist Phillip Bloch and Fern Mallis former Executive Director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), who helped to MC the event.
The 3rd Annual United Colors of Fashion Gala also included a runway fashion show featuring designers Marc Bouwer, David Tlale, Kosibah, Ron & Ron, Sukeina, Naked Ape by Shaldon Kopman & Carmen Marc Valvo.
In addition to Pat Cleveland being honored this year, this year’s Achiever of the Year is Sade Solomon, whose clothes were showcased on the runway.
According to their website unitedcolorsoffashion.org United Colors of Fashion (UCOF) is a New York City-based non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that mentors local under-resourced youth about the fashion industry through hands-on training in fashion education.
UCOF also offers financial assistance, food and clothing to youth in South Africa who are living with HIV/AIDS, sickle cell anemia and paralysis. Their mission is to “empower youth through fashion.”
