We might be tempted after years of praying to leave it up to God to decide the move of His Spirit. But we must be careful not to overlook the key role that He has given us in such matters.

Our Lord gave us the keys (to control opening and closing) in Matt 16:19 and even told us that heaven would honor what we bind and loose. We notice that we bind or loose first and then heaven agrees and not the other way around. Such power is hard to imagine and not for those who regard the Lord lightly. Rather in the example we see it is for those speaking a Word revealed from heaven as Peter did (Matt 16:17).

Such power is especially useful to those who realize the power in promises such as John 15:7 and 2 Chr 16:9.

Our Lord took this matter far beyond what most could fathom when He declared that we could move mountains (Mk 11:23-24).

Jesus did not say that God would in His sovereignty move it...but rather such was our responsibility to move and that we should expect it if we had faith. Such faith comes when the Word becomes more alive and real within us than the mountain we are facing...so that the Word will not be removed from us but will instead become the impetus or moving force of mountains.

So whenever God makes His Word real...radio...revival...move of the Spirit...it is like a key has been placed in your hand to use to open or close.

Dr. Yongi Cho in South Korea put his faith to believe for souls. He spent enough time in prayer to ask God to challenge him with a number of souls to believe for. He said God challenged him far more than he expected. He then set out to use women to lead home groups and it worked.

Whatever God challenges you to believe...you can achieve. You can move whatever mountain is in your way and reach for the dream He has placed in your heart. When God called Moses there was little to work with...but He still asked what Moses had in his hand and used it (a staff). This tells us that we can do all that God places in our heart even if we only have a stick to work with. With His Word, His Spirit and a big stick you can do anything God wants. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
