A pastor in San Ramon, Calif., is facing multiple charges for allegedly abusing a dog and having sexual relations with a minor, reported Thursday's NBC Bay Area.
Last week, authorities arrested 33-year-old Hyo Bin Im, aka Pastor John; the man is facing several felony charges.
Im, who was a youth pastor at the Contra Costa Korean Presbyterian Church, is believed to have been allowing two runaway teens to reside at his home - investigators believe that Im was sexually involved with one of the young girls.
According to the New York Daily News, Im also claims to have founded a Christian non-profit organization designed to provide aid to widows, orphans and homeless individuals.
Im's troubles were compounded after investigators discovered a severely injured dog at his residence who was so wounded that euthanasia was necessary. The small dog was said to have multiple injuries, including a broken leg.
According to the district attorney's office, Im is charged with unlawful sexual intercourse, child concealment and animal cruelty; he was booked into Martinez Detention Facility, but has already been released.
