On Thursday, December 5, the University of Notre Dame's Pasquerilla East Hall will put on their signature event, Silent Night Silent Auction, a campus-wide silent auction whose proceeds are donated to charities such as the American Cancer Society, Hannah and Friends and Building Tomorrow. Commonly abbreviated SNSA and pronounced, "Snaz-za," the auction features donated items, Christmas baskets or money courtesy of the residents of Pasquerilla East Hall.
Themed gift baskets, autographed memorabilia, dates with athletes, jewelry, baked goods and laundry services are just a few of the items that are auctioned off. In 2012, Pasquerilla East Hall raised over $3,000 for their charities. In order to attract more attendees and raise more money, this year's event will have free food, gift card raffles, cookie decorating and entertainment by the Humor Artists, a popular improvisational comedy group on campus.
The auction takes place on Thursday, December 5 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the LaFortune Student Center Ballroom.
