Today, innovative mobile accessories company PureGure is celebrating the opening if its first retail store, in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Officially opened last Friday, the new store features PureGear’s signature accessories, including its extreme protection cell phone cases, wall and car chargers, headsets and more. Targeting the on-the-go consumer, the Irwindale, Calif., company strives to produce innovative designs with added functions and features at affordable prices.
In fact, PureGear’s Travel Charger with Auto-Detect, which will be available later this year, was named a 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award honoree at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Travel Charger standardizes mobile device charging by automatically detecting the phone type and providing the necessary handshaking between the device and power supply. The patent-pending technology reduces the need for multiple charges, offering a universal solution.
“Whether you’re a traveling business professional, multitasking parent, active adventurer or all [of the above], it’s our goal at PureGear to continually look for new innovative, sensible ways to enhance your mobile device experience,” says PureGear president Mike Cavanah. “So we are thrilled to open our very first store for consumers to experience the quality and designs of our products firsthand.”
Today’s celebration at PureGear’s brick-and-mortar store, which is only open to invited technophiles and gadget gurus, runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will include demonstrations, giveaways and Twitter contests. The city of Pasadena will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the store at 7 p.m. And 10 percent of all profit from sales this weekend will benefit a local Pasadena charity.
