Pasadena councilmember Jacque Robinson to meet with President Obama

Pasadena City Councilmember Jacque Robinson, whose first district borders Altadena on two sides, has been selected to travel to Washington D.C. this Friday to meet with members of the Obama administration and attend an intimate reception with President Barkck Obama.

Robinson is one of a select group of memebers of the Young Elected Officials Network to be invited to the White House to discuss important issues facing states and localities.  The announcement was made today by Ann Erdman, Public Information Officer for the City of Pasadena.

“I look forward to a full day of discussion with my colleagues and the administration,” Robinson said.  “I am most interested in engaging in discussion related to further stimulating the local economy, creating jobs and stabilizing the housing market. This is an extraordinary opportunity for me to represent Pasadena at the highest level.”

Robinson attended the YEO national conference in Washington last week.  For more information about the organization, visit www.yeonetwork.org.
