On Sunday the 19th of February MaxFund will be having its’ 18th Annual Chili Cook-Off. It will be held at the Celtic Tavern at Delaney’s Bar,1801 Blake St., in Denver. The event will start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
The cook off has four different categories which will be judged; Red, Green, Vegetarian and Celebrity and Professional Chef’s form the Denver area will be competing for a cash prize of $100 and grand prize of $200. As of the posting of this article the participating Celebrities and Chef’s will be: Howie from the Bj, Howie and Jamie show on Alice 105.9, and Chef’s from the Brown Palace, Vesta Dipping Grill, and the Overland Golf Course.
The Celtic Tavern will have special drinks available to include $4 beer ($1 from each beer sold will go directly to MaxFund).
If you have that award winning recipe for Chili it is not too late to register for the event for $30 at register online until February 17th. If you feel you may be a good judge of chili or would like to be a taster you can also register online for $10 dollars or pay $15 at the door.
There will be a visit from “Ms. Galaxy” and the MaxFund van will be parked outside with adorable, adoptable pets needing those “Forever Homes,” You may also browse amongst the MaxFund merchandise and goodies for your pet with the proceeds going to MaxFund.
