Party launch for 12th annual Dine About Town San Francisco

The San Francisco Travel Association kicks off its 12th annual Dine About Town San Francisco “budget” dining promo (which will run January 15 - 31, 2013) with a launch party on Thursday, January 10, beginning at 6pm at City View at the Metreon (101 Fourth Street).

According to the association, participating restaurants will provide tastes from their Dine About Town menus and guests will have the opportunity to sample wines, beers and spirits from the Bay Area and beyond.

Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance online from the Dine About Town launch site. Guests must be 21 or over and present photo ID and confirmation e-mail. Proceeds from the launch party will benefit Meals on Wheels.

More than 100 of San Francisco’s best restaurants will participate, offering a two or three-course lunch menus for $18.95 and/or three-course dinner menus for $36.95. This pricing can represent up to a 25 percent saving.

Reservations are encouraged and may be made online through a partnership with OpenTable.com. Information is also available by calling the San Francisco Travel Association at 415-391-2000.

Pinterest users are encouraged to create a Pinterest board of favorite Dine About Town photos for a chance to win a $100 dining certificate at a participating restaurant.

A second Dine About Town San Francisco 2013 will be held from June 1 - 15.

The San Francisco Travel Association’s Visitor Information Center is located at 900 Market St. in Hallidie Plaza, lower level, near the Powell Street cable car turnaround.
