Party at a Castle: Waterloo Event at Cherokee Castle & Ranch

Did watching the party scenes in The Great Gatsby leave you with a major case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)? Then we have the event for you.

This Saturday, June 14, party like it’s 1924 at the Cherokee Castle & Ranch, one of Colorado’s most unique and undiscovered landmarks just 30 minutes south of Denver.

The festivities will be held in honor of doyenne Tweet Kimball’s would-be 100th birthday. Tweet, who passed away in 1999, owned the Cherokee Castle & Ranch and was known for throwing epic, exclusive parties for the Douglas County elite. Full of grace and a pioneer spirit, Tweet was a one-of-a-kind woman who founded the Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation and donated the land surrounding the castle to help preserve and protect one of the most scenic and historic areas in Colorado for all visitors to enjoy.

Now you can help preserve Tweet’s legacy and generous gift by snagging one of the hottest tickets in town for $60 (Guest Level) or $100 (VIP Level). The evening will include music of the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, aerialists and acrobats, a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres and of courses, plenty of libations and dancing. All will take place in a beautiful Scottish-inspired castle, situated on 3,400 acres in Sedalia with 200-mile views of the Colorado landscape. The castle is filled with historic collections of fine art, furnishings and memorabilia from around the world.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Tweet’s Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation, which is committed to the preservation of the natural environment and local wildlife, including elk, wild turkeys, Colorado’s only petrified forest, and historic structures. The land on which the castle is located is a remarkable outdoor laboratory and classroom for environmental education and research, and provides the perfect setting for wildlife hikes, youth camps, concerts, lecture series and more.
