A weak wave will move through the Clarksville area today bringing mostly cloudy skies and the risk for a shower this afternoon. Temperatures will remain cool, in the upper forties. The cold air remains in the area for Thursday as high temperatures will struggle to reach forty. Overnight Thursday, the next system will begin to move into the area and precipitation will overspread the cold air. This will cause rain and snow showers to fall early Friday morning, before changing to all rain by Friday morning as the warm air moves in. The scattered showers will last through the day Friday and into the day Saturday as this system slowly moves through the area. By the end of the weekend, a few showers are still expected as the system moves north and east with temperatures remaining below average for the beginning of the workweek.
