After a cold day yesterday, temperatures will warm into the forties today under partly sunny skies. A weak system will move through tonight bringing a risk for a sleet or snow shower, but no significant precipitation is expected. Temperatures though will be cooler on Thursday as highs will struggle to be above freezing. The wave of energy will move through the region overnight Thursday bringing sleet and freezing rain to the region. This system will have to be monitored closely as any change in the track can change the type of precipitation. Currently though, no significant precipitation is expected. Looking to the weekend, skies will once again become partly sunny on Saturday ahead of the next system to bring scattered showers to the region through the beginning of next workweek.
