Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Synopsis,
Ahead of a cold front the area will remain unstable with warm humid air in place. At any one time a thunderstorm can pop and give an area a quick round of severe weather and heavy rainfall. Most areas may stay completely dry and see no storms tonight but with daytime heating tomorrow there could be a few strong showers and thunderstorms by pm. The cold front will move in and stall across the region tomorrow night allowing thunderstorms to die out over the region. During the day Wednesday a developing low will travel from the South and put our region back into an unstable air mass. Any sun could set off a round of severe storms with damaging winds, large hail, and a isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. All of the perimeters will be in place but the lack of day time heating may keep things a bit more stable. However thunderstorms with high precipitation rates may once again train over similar areas that saw recent heavy rain. If this happens there could be a serious threat for flooding. Storms will taper to heavy showers by Thursday as the front will be drug through the region stabilizing the air mass. Cooler and showery weather will last into Friday.

Long range:
A cool weekend looks to be in store there could be the return to some showers Sunday but overall a drier period will exist into earlier next week as temps being to rebound.

The following is the seven day forecast for the Dayton metro area and a 50 mile radius around it. Other metro areas like Columbus, Cincinnati, and Portsmouth are not included. For those areas please request a separate
