Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

A strong cold front will settle across the region tomorrow through Monday evening. The initial batch of severe storms will likely form tomorrow afternoon and evening with damaging winds and large hail being the primary threats. Heavy rains will cause flash flooding in areas where storms train and move slower. If these storms can move out quick enough during the day Monday another round of severe weather may occur Monday afternoon with a second stronger front. However odds are lower Monday due to early day cloud cover and cold front orientation. If storms do form there is a slightly greater risk of tornadoes due to the negative tilt of the trough coming in from the NW.

Long range:
Behind the front a rare mid July cold shot will drop in from Canada. Record low highs could be challenged as well as record lows for many. Highs may stay in the 60s Wednesday with overnight lows dipping into the upper 40s fr some. Stay tuned on this rare and developing weather system.
