Partly cloudy and cold, but not as cold

Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Partly cloudy skies and cold tonight but not as cold as past nights as the storm system on the East coast keeps some light winds around keeping temperatures from falling too much. As this storm passes to our East tomorrow winds will be out of the NE before turning SW late tomorrow. This will allow temperatures to warm to just above freezing tomorrow afternoon. Sunshine will fade behind some high clouds late in the evening. A cold front will approach from the NW late tomorrow night and early Friday bringing a quick coating to an inch of snow Friday morning especially South of US 35. This front will knock temperatures back to the single digits late Friday night and Early Saturday. This will set the stage for a weak Alberta Clipper to cross the region Saturday evening and night. This system will bring light snow accumulations to the region by Sunday morning. Behind this system a warm front will lift through late Sunday and Monday allowing temperatures to warm into lower 40s. A cold front will again approach from the NW late Monday changing rain back to snow Monday night.

Long range:
There after a big warm up looks to be in store for mid-week next week and lasing through early next weekend. Temperatures could get up into the 50s and even near 60 by Friday.
