'Participatory Budgeting 101': Join the PB Vallejo Publicity Design Contest

How good are you at persuading folks to vote? Particularly if there's an important payoff for voting?

We're only about 45 days away from the public voting for the proposals that will be presented at a series of Project Expos in April (more on these Expos soon). The PB Vallejo Outreach Workgroup is sponsoring a contest for the best design that will encourage Vallejoans to vote for how to spend the $3,2M of Measure B funds that the Council allocated to them last year.

The Workgroup wants to know how you would design such promotional items like flyers, bumper stickers, buttons and posters to inspire the most residents to take the time to vote for their favorite proposal or proposals.

And they are making it easy for you. Here's how:

1) Sign in at ideas.pbvallejo.org with your email address, Facebook, LinkedIn or Google account.

2) Read the submission guidelines

3) Submit your idea by uploading a picture of your design as well as a short description of it.

Optional submission methods: You can also email your submissions to pbvallejo@ci.vallejo.ca.us or mail them to: Vallejo City Manager’s Office, Attn: Ginny Browne, 555 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.

Whichever way you choose to submit, your design must be submitted by no later than midnight, April 7

All designs will be displayed at ideas.pbvallejo.org and the finalists (judged by the PB Vallejo Outreach Workgroup) will be displayed at the Project Expos being held in April where Expo visitors will vote for the winning design.
