Don't forget, Fellow Austinites, that Earth Hour is tonight! From 8:30pm to 9:30pm, turn off your lights and save some energy. This will help out the planet....but more importantly, it will also help you!

Since there are 24 hours in a day, and 30 days in a month, that means that each month is made up of 720 hours. If your monthly electric bill is, say, $300, that means that you are paying almost $0.50 per hour of electricity!

Maybe 50 cents doesn't seem like much, but if you found two shiny quarters in the street, I bet you'd be pretty darn happy.

When your next electric bill comes in and is only $299.50, I'll be you'll still be happy.

And isn't the point of life to be happy?

Maybe you'll want to get a whole dollar out of this; so maybe the next day you'll turn the lights off for another hour.

So participate in Earth Hour today. Save 50 cents, save the world.
