Perhaps you are like me...a passionate artist but an individual lacking the patience and money to make it a profession....in that case this article should be helpful to you. As summer vacation and outdoorsy activities are winding down, perhaps you need a more solitary hobby than football and swimming to fill in your free time. This is when you, like me, may consider taking up art.
There are a number of wonderful art guilds in the DC/Fairfax area that you can take part in without giving up on your other life (you know your job, family, social life etc). Just recently I took a class at Michael's art supply store on the art of flower painting and I very much enjoyed the experience as well as the beautiful results.
