There was once a time in history in which life was simple. There was no technology, or means of transportation, shopping malls or anything that would facilitate the human experience. People did not have designer clothing, or own mansions with multiple over-prices vehicles. There was no working-middle class or variations in between, except for the rich and the poor.
Instead, people had to learn to grow and catch their own food, build their own homes and birth their own children without the help of medical science or convenience. Doctors actually did their jobs without the thoughts of their high salary but because they truly cared about their patients. There was a time when gays, harlots and blasphemers would be killed for their transgressions. Societal law abiding by the Ten Commandments in order to sustain order under God.
The main issue with people nowadays is the problem of most being nothing more than pleasure-seeking, spoiled brats. There is no need for hard work and determination when there are others to do it for you. There has been an outbreak of idleness and laziness that is increasing at rapid rates. There is this misconceived notion that life should just give you ease and hand-delivered freebies.
With every generation, the hedonistic qualities only intensify further. Some of these selfish beings have the audacity to call themselves Christians. To be a Christian is a true way of life. One must not be attached to the material wealth of the world but only of God’s spiritual love.
There are those who have riches in which they splurge in order to represent physically, all that they are worth. How is this being Christ-like? How are you walking in His Footsteps if you have all these material possessions with no plans of giving up these objects? Some people love their clothing, or jewelry. Others love their cars and property.
This is such a disgrace and insult to our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for sinners who live the life of the rich man and disobey God’s Will for us. If you fit this description then shame on you. It is a real shame how once one becomes engulfed with opulence, they are changed forever. Not only are the rich not aware of their sickness, but they justify all that they do and say to self-enhance themselves further.
If this is you, please wake-up. May God open your eyes one day. May you open your eyes and clear out our unfaithful heart from the love for wealth. For those who are not like this, keep your faith and do your best to strengthen it. Obey God and do your best to follow according to His Will. Amen.
