The Galaxy Note 3, believe it or not, is also a phone. T-Mobile's network provides a lot of call clarity that beats both Sprint and AT&T, but doesn't produce the amazing quality Verizon's network does on the Galaxy Note 2. Some people told us we sounded a little robotic and we verified it thought voicemail messages. In general, the Galaxy Note 3 works fine as a phone. But if you are buying the Galaxy Note 3 just for the phone quality, you are buying the wrong device.
The speakerphone, like the earpiece, is clear, but not loud enough. If you root the Galaxy Note 3, there are some utilities that will increase the system volume without causing too much distortion.
Battery life
Samsung has done it! Thanks to the 3200 mAh battery on the Note 3, Samsung has created the first smartphone device that power users can use for a full day without having to charge their battery. This is the type of device that you can leave its charger at home and not feel abandoned. We watched several streaming videos, made several phone calls, listened to Sirius XM for an hour, and did just about everything else. By the end of the day, we still had 10 percent of our battery life left.
Conclusion
Samsung might have overstepped with the Galaxy S4 by overshadowing a great device with several gimmicky features, but they did not do the same on the Galaxy Note 3. Unlike the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 is greatly improved from its previous version.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the most productive smartphone device ever released and it's one that you can fit in your (bigger than average) pocket. Samsung has exceeded Apple and its rivals in every way by making a device that can literally do everything well except wash your dishes.
