As Halloween draws closer, the number of Halloween parades increases which is good news for little ones looking for something to do. The parades in Central PA are spread throughout several counties so there is something for everyone. Please check back here for the parades later in the week.
The times and locations are as follows:
· Tuesday, October 22, 2013
o Newport Lion’s Club Halloween Parade begins at the elementary school on Fickes Street. There will be prizes awarded to individual ages, groups, and floats. Rain date is Wednesday, October 23.
o Hershey/Derry Township 66th Annual Halloween Parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will wind through the streets of Hershey.
o New Cumberland River Rescue 2013 Halloween Parade starts at 7:30 p.m. and starts at 16th Street and will end on 3rd Street. In the event of rain it will be held on Monday, October 28th.
o The 76th Annual Paxtang Lion’s Club Halloween Parade begins at 7 p.m. There will be a fire alarm sounding at 6:30 to alert all participants to get into formation. The parade steps off from 30th & Derry Streets and after winding around a bit ends at the Municipal Building.
· Wednesday, October 23, 2013
o Mt. Holly Springs parade steps off from Mt. Holly Elementary School on Mooreland Ave. at 7 p.m. For additional information please call (717) 486-7613.
