Part 2: Google Glass Explorer Edition 2 review

The biggest shortcoming of Google Glass right now is that it really doesn't serve a purpose. The inner geek in you will marvel at having videos, pictures and driving directions flash in your eye. But the realist in you may declare, "So what!" That's exactly what we said after watching a video of "Family Guy" while taking a walk, only to realize we can also watch it on our 1080p smartphone while walking as well. And it looks a lot better.

Do you really need a nerdy device on your head to do a Google search? Do you really need Google Glass to tell you what time it is? And if you love taking secret perverted pictures, you can easily do it on your smartphone as well.

Still, we can see Google Glass possibly being used for security operations. We can even see it being used in the classroom. And yes, it may make a nice sex toy, with third-party apps already available. But the "Wow!" factor just isn't there yet. Google Glass may eventually signify the wave of the future, but right now it's just--well--not quite there.
