Parsifal first of six operas in the Royal Opera House Live Cinema series

The 2014 Royal Opera House Live Cinema season series is ready to get underway and will present six operas in select theaters in the United States. Arts Alliance Media is the worldwide leader in digital media and together with Royal Opera House Live Cinema Series and Screenvision are bringing world-class opera productions from one of the finest opera houses to theaters across the country. Audiences The line-up includes: Parsifal, La Bohème, Don Giovanni, Nabucco, La Traviata, and Manon Lescaut.

Parsifal is a three act opera by Richard Wagner loosely based on an epic poem by Wolfram von Eschenbach of an Arthurian knight and his quest for the Holy Grail. This new production of Wagner’s take on guilt, death and possible redemption is directed by Stephen Langridge, designed by Alison Chitty and conducted by Antonio Pappano.

The Royal Opera House is one of the world’s leading opera houses where famous singers like Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti have performed. The opera house continues to work with movie theaters and other venues to bring world class opera and ballet to as many people as possible.
