Yes, this is from the "New Moon" parody we just received. And, yes, it's a puppet.
Whoever took the time to put together the following clip clearly enjoys "Twilight". What concerns us is, maybe they like "Twilight" a little too much. What we have here is a "Twilight" parody that incorporates an all-puppet cast. If we were snarky, we'd point out that the acting here is at roughly the same level as that seen in the version of "New Moon" that's got a human cast. But we're not snarky, so we won't. Read on for the video, "Twilight" geeks and gentle Examiner readers...
It's official: more time, money, and digital video has been spent parodying "Twilight: New Moon" than was actually spent making the damn films. We've seen dozens upon dozens of these parodies here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, so it's getting kind of old. That said, we enjoyed the hell out of this clip:
This video was send into us by an "Andrew D.", who made sure to point out that he's not a "Twilight" fan in his email to us. Andrew, that's great, but if that's true, what're you doing scouring the internet for "Twilight"-related videos? Methinks the lady doth protest too much, ifyaknowwhattamean. If you've found a funny video that you'd like to see run here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, by all means send it in to us. Like Andrew, our resident "Twilight non-fan, you'll get a shout-out in the article in which your video appears. Sounds about fair, right?
While you're waiting on the next bit of chicanery to come in from the Comedy Examiner, please feel free to check out some of our other recent articles, videos, and nonsense at the links embedded below:
"Funny Video of The Day: Two words-- 'Hipster Pilgrims' (with funny video)"-- in which we learn that hipsters aren't just for today. Nope, turns out, they were being obnoxious all the way back to the time of the very first Thanksgiving. Who knew?
"Weekend Box Office: 'Twilight: New Moon' buries 'Old Dogs' where no one will ever find it"-- in which we learn that "Twilight: New Moon" is absolutely destroying the competition at the box office, and that Robin Williams really needs to start reading his scripts.
"Funny Video of The Day: Does this baby need its mouth washed out with soap? (with funny video)"-- in which we look at one very funny video starring what may be one very foul-mouthed baby.
"Hollywood tells us there's nothing funny about DVD piracy. Think again, Hollywood! (with funny pics)"-- in which we look at some hilariously mislabeled DVD bootlegs. For example, did you know that Tom Cruise once starred in a film called "Pepe Likes Tacos"? Now ya do.
