Early in 2013, Stoney Creek Records recording artists Parmalee will be hitting the road for the "Country Gone Wild" tour. Joining them will be Bush Hawg and special guest Zach Lockwood. The tour will take them to eight different cities spread out over four weeks and will be a chance for fans to see them in an intimate setting, playing their special brand of guitar-driven, harmony-enriched, country-rock.
Parmalee has been together since 2001 and this past summer had their first radio hit with the post-party anthem "Musta Had a Good Time." The band is made up of brothers Matt Thomas and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums), their cousing Barry Knox (background vocals/bass) and long-time friend Josh McSwain (background vocals/lead guitar/keyboards). All four come from musical families and trace their influences across a broad spectrum of musical genres including soul, blues, rock, bluegrass and country.
Parmalee was featured as a Billboard "Bubbling Under" artist, was one of Clear Channel's NEW! Artist to Watch, was named as one of Roughstock's "Ones to Watch in 2013," and was listed in Country Music Rocks as one of their "New Artists to Watch in 2013." Country Music Is Love listed "Musta Had a Good Time" as one of the Top 15 Songs of Summer and fans on Roughstock voted it one of the top 40 songs of 2012. Sirius/XM's The Highway listed "Musta Had a Good Time" as the #11 "Hot Song of 2012."
Their next single, "Carolina," will be released on January 22, 2013, with their album, produced by New Voice Entertainment (the producers behind Thompson Square's debut) to follow later in the year.
