When it comes to "Parks and Recreation," there are a number of relationships that we see play out on a weekly basis -- including the sweet bond between Leslie and Ben that has become the focus of the show.
However, we were only recently exposed to something a bit more shocking -- a bond forming between Tom (Aziz Ansari) and Ann (Rashia Jones). Is this going to last? Speaking to E! News, showrunner Mike Schur explains that we will be seeing this relationship play out for quite some time:
"It's real. Tom and Ann are dating and will have a relationship for some amount of time ... We have a lot of soul-matey relationships, with Leslie and Ben and Andy and April ... and we just wanted to do a comedy relationship. It's real, but it's not soulfully gazing into each other eyes and running off to get married after three weeks. We're going for a different relationship, which is a pair of mismatched people who are very gingerly having a couple drinks here and there to see if they're compatible."
"Parks" has considered a rather strong creative run throughout this season, with one of the highlights coming courtesy of Leslie's run for Pawnee City Council.
