The Parker House 2 Mile Fun Run was held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Sea Girt, N.J.
The runners had some great running weather with cool temperatures in the 70’s and a nice ocean breeze as well as some overcast skies to keep things cool. It was also perfect for the post race party that the event is known for.
The large field of 2000 plus runners lined up on the side of the Parker House for their jaunt through the streets of Sea Girt and then for a return for a finish near the start.
Coming in first overall and for the men was Robert Dugger of New York City, New York in a time of 9:08. He was followed by Mike Mazzucciro of Red Bank, New Jersey in 9:11 and then Mark Sidebottom of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 9:15.
Breaking the tape for the women was Jackie D’ Antonio of Rochester, New York in a time of 10:56 followed by Kristan Lucas Deitz in 11:07 and then Lindsay Kos of New York City, New York in 11:21.
The race is followed by a huge party in and outside of the Parker House, a popular summer time hang out for locals and visitors.
Awards were presented to the top finishers.
