Park foundation expands its online presence

The Highlands Ranch Park & Recreation Foundation is moving full speed ahead. The foundation recently announced the addition of two new board trustees, Renee Anderson and Sharyn Landis, and the non-profit organization has more good news to share. The foundation has been accepted as a partner with while simultaneously launching its own new website at is an online resource created to assist Colorado charities. It is most well-known for its annual giving campaign called Colorado Gives Day. On this designated day, Dec. 10 this year, Coloradans are encouraged to make a donation to a local charity. People are encouraged to give locally, supporting a cause and their local community. People can visit the website, find a charity to which they would like to donate, and make their tax-free donation. The Highlands Ranch Park & Recreation Foundation is now one of the local non-profit organizations you can find on

“To be associated with is a win-win for the foundation,” said Roy Mapp, foundation president. “The online tool will help increase the community’s awareness of the Highlands Ranch Park and Recreation Foundation. In addition, the website provides a quick and easy way to make a charitable donation that benefits everyone in Highlands Ranch.” Mapp went on to say that donations made to the foundation will help provide funding for youth program scholarships, park improvement projects, trail projects, and urban forest projects in the community.

To donate to the foundation, visit the foundation’s new website at and click on the green button on the bottom of its home page. You will be directed to the foundation’s donation page on Once there, you can make a one-time donation, schedule a recurring donation, or in mid-November you can schedule your online donation for Colorado Gives Day. You can also make a donation by going directly to and doing a search for Highlands Ranch Park and Recreation Foundation.

Online users can access the foundation’s website at or The site was launched this September. The new site is clean, updated and simple to navigate.

In addition to connecting to, visitors to the site will find information about the foundation including background on the six board trustees, a board meeting schedule, and information about the foundation’s past and present projects and accomplishments. Site visitors will also find a list of past donors, information on how to give to the foundation, and golf tournament details and photos.
