Through rain, sleet, or snow they will get there. Not mailmen, but Parisian women on bikes.

The Annenberg Community Beach House is holding an opening reception for Gil Garcetti's newest exhibit, Paris: Women and Bicycles. As the title suggests, the collection features images of women riding their bicycles year round in Paris. It is an inspiring showcase of how a society has successfully integrated this economical and environmental practice into their everyday lives in an urban city.

Gil Garcetti's (yes, the former Los Angeles District Attorny) photographs have been displayed in museums around the globe, from Washington, DC to Beijing, China. He has published several photograhy books and has been featured in publications such as TIME magazine.

The opening reception will take place this coming Thursday, June 17 from 5:30 – 7:30pm at The Annenberg Community Beach House. The exhibit will be on display for one month through July 18, 2010.
