On Thursday, March 21, Paris Jackson was deposed in her grandmother, Katherine Jackson’s wrongful death lawsuit. The wrongful death suit was filed against concert promoter AEG in regards to music legend Michael Jackson’s untimely death.
According to Katherine Jackson’s lawsuit, she contends AEG is responsible for Michael Jackson’s death as they are the ones who hired Dr. Conrad Murray to take care of his medical needs.
A source close to the Jackson’s stated, “The deposition will take place in a private interview room that is big enough to accommodate lawyers for Katherine and AEG beginning at 1:30. The deposition could go all day.”
“Even though Paris isn’t expected to testify at the trial, AEG wanted to take her deposition because she is a co-Plaintiff in the case.”
Michael Jackson’s oldest child, Prince Jackson was deposed last week. “Prince “was deposed last week, and it didn’t go well for him. In fact the proceedings grew so intense for Prince that a break was called, and it had to resume the next day”, according to the source.
A California court dismissed all but one of the claims in the lawsuit. The defendants filed with the Court of Appeal in California requested that the claim be dismissed.
The only claim remaining pertains to the charge that AEG and its president, Tim Leiweke was negligent when they hired Murray.
Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted in 2011 for the involuntary manslaughter death of Michael Jackson. Jackson died after Murray injected him with a fatal dose of propofol.
