TMZ is reporting that Paris Hilton will be charged for possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested for being caught with .8 grams of cocaine, according to documents TMZ obtained. This is a felony.
The site is reporting that the D.A. filed the case today with details of the criminal complaint.
According to the police report, the police officer who stopped the Escalade pulled the car over and smelled the “strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.” He immediately noticed that one of the passengers was Paris Hilton. He noticed the socialite was quickly trying to roll up the window.
Of course one Hilton was noticed a crowd of about 100 people gathered around to witness what was going on. Hilton was quoted as saying she was “extremely embarrassed” and asked the officer if she can go to the bathroom located inside the Wynn Hotel.
Hilton told the officer that she needed her lip balm so he handed the purse to Hilton. “As she began to open it, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggie begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.”
Like previous reports stated, a broken tablet of Albuterol was also in her purse along with Zig Zap wrappers that’s used to roll joints. Albuterol is a prescription drug used to control wheezing.
Hilton admitted the pill was hers but the cocaine wasn’t. She also told the officer that she was borrowing a friend’s purse. The cop began to question Hilton about the cocaine and according to police Hilton gave them a strange answer. "She said she had not seen it, but now thought it was gum."
It’ll be interesting to see how the plays out.

My son is addicted. He was caught with a very small amount of a drug and he was charged with a felony. He had to appear before a judge, his second time, and was given a jail term unless he went to rehab. He completed the two year rehab, and the felony was dismissed. But he has taken the addictive drug again, and this time will go to prison if caught. Rich or poor, what good does it do to put these addicted losers in prison. He is able to hold down a job, although he doesn't keep them. He fathered a child many years ago, and the state takes his money, so he cannot ever catch up because they add interests over and over. He is not able to stay in a rented room for long because of this. He is often homeless. Stop the maddness. Lock up violent people, and send non stealing, or non violent druggies to a rehab lock up everytime they are caught.
