Paris Hilton released, court to deal with matter, not media
LAS VEGAS -- In Las Vegas early Saturday, Paris Hilton was let go from jail. She had been arrested on Friday for possession of marijuana.
Socialite Paris Hilton had been pulled over when police could smell smoke from a black cadillac, reports CNN.

Lt. Wayne Holman tells reporters that the SUV belonged to Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits.
Cy Waits, who owns several Las Vegas nightclubs, was detained for driving under the influence.
Paris Hilton was released when it was decided she was not likely to leave the country, reports Lt. Holman.
Paris Hilton's attorney warns media that they should not be quick to jump to conclusions, says CNN
"This matter will be dealt with in the courts, not in the media, and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law," said David Chesnoff, the attorney for Paris Hilton.
Paris Hilton was held in South Africa during the World Cup for allegedly possessing marijuana.
That case was reported to be a "misunderstanding" and a friend of Hiltons' said the marijuana was hers, not Hilton's.
That case of Paris Hilton possessing marijuana in South Africa was dropped.

Paris Hilton is old enough to know better than to get herself into drug/unacceptable troubles and to be in company with the wrong type of people. She might have all material things she wants, but she is absolutely uneducated on how to comport herself as a responsible and civilized adult!
She does need to grow up! She should use her money for a better cause rather than just to rehab herself from all those drugs. Is this another one daddy has to bail her out of?
