Well there’s a shocker!
PopEater is reporting that Las Vegas police gave Paris Hilton special treatment with her quick release from jail on August 27th to avoid disruptions in the jail’s operations. Hilton was released from jail within about three hours, which is about half the average amount of time it takes to process people that face the same charges, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
"Yeah, she was treated differently so I don't have a disruption of my process here at the county jail," said Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon. "When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I'd have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I'd have disruptions."
The 29-year-old heiress was charged with cocaine possession after police found a small baggie of cocaine that fell out of her purse.
Tony Collin from 911 Bail Bonds understands why she received special treatment. "If she had gotten out in 30 minutes, that would have been special treatment," he said.
Hilton is scheduled to appear in court on October 27th.
