The Starlight Children’s Foundation presented Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton and Kathy Hilton with the2011 Heart of Gold Award at the Starlight Children Foundation’s annual gala, A Stellar Night, which was sponsored by California Pizza Kitchen and Nintendo of America. The event was held at the Century Plaza Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles, CA and attracted over thirty celebrity guests as well as industry leaders, philanthropists and humanitarians who have given both time and money to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

A Stellar Night began at 6pm with a cocktail reception and silent auction. The silent auction raised much-needed funds for the organization. At 7:30pm dinner was served and awards were presented to Paris, Nicky and Kathy Hilton as well as Do Won Change, Founder and CEO of Forever 21 who was honored with the 2011 Jacki Carlish Humanitarian Award. The event included a special performance by Zacharia, which payed tribute to stories from the Starlight Children Foundation’s children and their families. The performance also recognized and honored humanitarians who have advocated for terminally ill children as well as their families.
The event was family friendly and included a Nintendo’s Kid’s Lounge which was open from 6pm-9:30pm. The lounge attracted children ages five through sixteen. Activities in the lounge included face painting, videos, carnival games and a dinner buffet. Children also made special gifts for terminally ill children in the lounge over the course of the evening.
The Heart of Gold Award is presented annually to individuals who have volunteered and donated a significant amount of time and resources to Starlight.
