Paris Hilton was released from a Las Vegas jail Saturday morning after being arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession.
According to a police spokesman, Hilton was a passenger in a vehicle that was observed trailing marijuana smoke. The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
After searching the vehicle, police discovered an unspecified amount of what was later identified as cocaine.
Hilton was arrested at the scene and later released on her own recognizance.
This is Hilton’s third drug-related arrest in the few months. In July, while attending a World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Hilton was removed from the stadium by local police and arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession. The charges were dropped.
Later that month, Hilton was detained by police at an airport in Corsica, France, after she was caught with a small amount of marijuana. No charges were filed in the incident.
