Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if you beat him with the rod he shall not die
These are not my words. They are those of a wise man named Solomon. However, I must admit, I agree one hundred percent.
You know, it's a shame when you can't take your child to a place for kids to play, without having their ears and yours, assaulted by children dropping the F-bomb like they are sneezing. My ten year old son was astounded by a child who was proud to inform him of his ability to cuss and then graciously proceeded to demonstrate, by letting a torrent of f-bombs fly from his seven or eight year old lips. Thankfully, I had already had the conversation about using bad language with my children. So, my son immediately recognized that behavior as inappropriate and made the wise decision to walk away.
Parents, it is our duty to train our children. If we don't, you can rest assured that the world will. Tell your children what you expect and what is and is not acceptable behavior. Don't let them just grow up trying to figure out right from wrong or learning by trial and error. Please don't ignore bad behavior from your children. Stop making them think bad manners or behavior is cute, simply because they are young and cute. After a while, cute grows up and that behavior ain't so cute anymore. Matter of fact, its just plain old ugly. Don't encourage it.

Beat them every now and then.Stop cringing. I mean spank them. It won't kill them. In fact, the bible says it will deliver their souls from hell and I say, it keeps them out of jail and from growing up disrespectful thugs. Spanking is intended to correct bad behavior, not harm the child. Start young enough and you won't have to do it much when they are older. Put the fear of God, and you, in them while they are youngsters and later, just the threat of a spanking-- aka whupping-- will get a child back in line. Don't believe the lie that "spanking teaches violence". That is a trick of the enemy and a lie from the pit. I'll bet you that the majority of the kids out here killing and drugging didn't get spankings.
Proverbs 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
Christians should not adopt the world's philosophy on discipline. We should raise our children according to biblical priniciples. Besides, just look around. The world's way is failing miserably. This has to be the most disrespectful generation of children in the history of the world. Why? Because we stop spanking. We started listening to the so called experts and tried alernative methods of discipline. Teachers could no longer spank our children in schools. As a result, they lost respect and subsequently, control of their classrooms. We gave 3 and 4 year olds opinions. We started allowing our children to tell us what they want and don't want to do because "they are human" and "have rights".
Parents! Take back the reigns. You train your children. Seek Godly counsel. Forgo Dr. So and So's book on raising children and instead, go to the "Good Book" . Take the job of raising your children seriously. You get one and only one chance to raise them. Do everything within your power to raise respectable, God-fearing citizens of the world and most importantly, of the kingdom of God.
