As part of its ongoing efforts to bring the good news of life in Jesus Christ to the children of the community, the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Burns Flat, Oklahoma will have a come and go blessing service for children in the community.
The service is from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, 26 January 2012.
Children must be accompanied by at least one parent.
God wants us to be blessed in word and deed. We are also called to be a blessing to others.
Thursday’s blessings for the children will be for knowing the love of Christ, obedience to parents, being set apart from the world to live a holy life.
This is a community event and community invitation. Parents need not belong to or even attend the Cumberland Presbyterian Church to partake. This is a come and go event. Parents and their children may arrive any time between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The blessings typically take 5 minutes per family.
The Cumberland Presbyterian Church is located at 205 State Highway 44 in Burns Flat, Oklahoma. That is about 100 yards north of the town’s only traffic light. The church is on the east side of the highway.
