The parents of missing "Growing Pains" actor Andrew Koenig walked out of a scheduled "Larry King Live" interview on Wednesday, much to the surprise of Larry King himself. Walter and Judy Levitt Koenig, who flew to Vancouver and have stepped up their public plea for their son's return, were set to talk about Andrew on "Larry King Live" before abruptly walking out of the interview.
"Folks, for some reason," Larry King said on the show. "[The parents of the missing Andrew Koenig] left the studio in Vancouver. We checked them out. They were prepared to go on. I said hello. They said hello. We said we'll be on in two minutes. They said fine and they got up and left for reasons unknown."
King later took to Twitter, saying he was still unclear what caused the Koenig's to leave.
"I talked to them in the break and told them they were on next. Then they left," King tweeted.
The Koenig's have spoken to the media, however, saying that their son had been "very depressed about his life."
Andrew Koenig has been missing since February 14th. On Walter Koenig's website, he makes a plea to the public to come forward with any information concerning his son: "If you've seen Andrew since February 14th, PLEASE contact Detective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver PD at 604-717-2534."
