A project of Catholic Charities Inc - Diocese of Wichita
Marriage for Keeps is a program funded by The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and currently available in Wichita, Manhattan, Garden City, and Kansas City, KS.
The premise behind the program is that "A healthy marriage is the strongest foundation for a happy family." The program focuses on teaching couples the skills that will create a safer, healthier, and more enjoyable family environment.
The program grew out of a request by the Department of HHS to divert funds from juvenile delinquency programs to helping strengthen families in an effort to prevent juvenile deliquency from occuring. Couples must be married, at least 18 years old, and either be expecting a child or have a child 15 years or younger living at home to participate in Marriage for Keeps.
