Victor is struggling with being unable to talk to his real mom. This problem was bound to happen at some point. Joel and Julia attempt at handling it works out pretty well, until Sydney has a chat with Victor about his real mom. What’s really interesting about all of this is that now Joel is on Victor’s side, while Julia is doubtful that the situation will work. Previously Julia has been the one really campaigning for Victor and working on building a good relationship with him, or at least Julia has been the main parent shown in this light. The writers will need to really work on showing more of Joel and Victor’s relationship, and they also need to give some more attention to Sydney and Victor’s relationship. Does Julia have a right to be concerned or is she overreacting?
What’s really great about this episode is all of the time spent with the elder Braverman siblings. A lot of the time everyone is shown really in their own storylines, so anytime there are scenes with the elder Bravermans together, it is fantastic, even just small scenes like Sarah helping Adam look for a wig or Crosby going to Adam for advice. What was your favorite scene?
Here are quick thoughts in elsewhere in the episode. Adam and Kristina had just a cute storyline. It’s great to see the writers give them a little bit of happiness, especially when most of their storylines this season have been darker. Hank and Sarah are just alright. They aren’t ridiculously entertaining, but by no means are their scenes horrible. It will be interesting to see how Crosby deals with Renee living with them. What did you think of the episode?
