The Sarah/Mark/Hank drama is still going strong, unfortunately. This storyline is getting a bit tired and annoying. Aside from Sarah switches boyfriends, there has not been much development going on there. The writers need to either give this storyline life again or let Sarah move on to some other story point. Mark and Hank are typically entertaining characters, but even they can’t make up for the fact that this storyline is starting to repeat. Are you still enjoying this storyline?
Crosby and Jasmine are still struggling with living with Renee. She continues to comment on and judge their parenting styles. During a not so peaceful talk about the subject, Jasmine begins to agree with Renee on some issues, prompting Crosby to bring up a valid point that she doesn’t stand up to her mother. Unfortunately, this isn’t really resolved. The writers should have had a moment between Jasmine and her mother at the end, instead of just ending with the dinner scene when Renee doesn’t eat with them at the table. Do you think Crosby is right about Jasmine? Is Renee right in her critics of Crosby and Jasmine as parents?
Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. It’s great to see Ryan again, and hopefully his next time working with Joel will go better. Joel and Julia find themselves at odds when it comes to finalizing Victor’s adoption. The conversation between Crosby and Julia is the highlight of the episode. They rarely have moments alone together, and it is just a great sibling moment. Kristina takes up Max’s vending machine campaign. Her standoff with the PTA moms is fantastic. What did you think of the episode overall?
