Paranormal investigation equipment review: Your body

You probably have seen all of the ghost hunting shows on television and you are wondering how you could possibly go on a paranormal investigation without all of their cool toys and gadgets. Well, let me tell you, the most effective and reliable piece of equipment you can have with your during an investigation is free.

Free? You ask. Yes. FREE!!

This piece of equipment is your body. Did you know the human body experiences a physical reaction when it is exposed to paranormal phenomena? There are so many different way to detect paranormal activity, including seeing, hearing, feeling and other human body reactions. Some of these reactions include goose bumps, electric tingles, your hair rising on your arms, vertigo, nausea and headaches. (These are only a few of the many different reactions your body can experience while communicating with spirits.

Your body can also act as an air sensors feeling around for hot and cold spots during an investigation. Both of these sensations can let you know a spirit is near by or has been in the area.

You can also use your eyes and ears to detect paranormal activity, however, be careful when relying on these senses. When investigating in the dark your eyes may see things that are not really there and sounds you may hear may not be of paranormal nature. Try to back these methods of detection with electronic devices, such as a video recorder, digital camera or an electronic voice recorder.

When using your body as a means of ghost detecting, make sure to bring a notebook with you. Though I always suggest bringing one on every investigation, it is even more important when you have no other equipment to use. Document every feeling, reaction, noise and sighting you experience during your investigation. This way you will have it as a review of what happened later and can cross-reference it with other evidence (if you have it).

Also, be careful when using your body as a tool and do not allow dangerous spirits in. Use any and all means of self-protection before beginning a paranormal investigation.

As always, Happy Haunting!!
