Even an experienced ghost hunter may be wondering how a compass can come in handy during a paranormal investigation. Believe me, I know some of your are, because I was. I never in my wildest dreams thought of using a compass while in the field searching for the paranormal. That was until I saw a suggestion in a forum one day. Then it hit me, there are many different reasons a compass can come in handy while conducting a paranormal investigation.
The bonus of bringing a compass with you is that it is not only a useful piece of equipment, but it is also inexpensive and extremely compact. DOUBLE BONUS!!
The magnetic in the compass can be used in the same manner as and EMF meter. Even though they do not detect electric fields, they do detect magnetic ones. A great alternative if your EMF runs out of batteries through battery drain or begins to malfunction. The compass will either have trouble coming to a precise heading or will spin erratically when a spirit is present.
Some of us have conducted paranormal investigations in the woods or large open fields. Many of these investigations happen night, which can lead to the possibility of getting lost in the night. Your compass will help you find your way back to civilization.
So the next time you are out on an investigation bring a compass with you. Even if it is just to see if it will work for you.
