Paranormal Detectives of Indianapolis (PDI INDIANA)
The group was started in October 2010, with the idea of finding the truth of the paranormal, by searching for evidence to prove its existence. During their time as a group they have developed different approaches into investigating the paranormal and trying to understand their evidence. On most of their investigations they have always visited a location more than once, in some instances it has been several times in just a course of a few months. Their idea is to investigate a location and then return after their evidence is collected and try to approach the investigation differently with knowing what they had collected the time before. This has made their team successful (in their own opinion) and they believe that they have caught some of the most fascinating and controversial evidence in their time as investigators.
They have investigated several different places in Indiana since 2010; these places include Private Residences, Private Businesses and Private Shopping Centers, all of which have wished to remain undisclosed and appreciated our professionalism in keeping to our promise of confidentiality. They have also investigated places such as The Benton House, Black Moon Manor, (formerly) and The Crump Theater. The Crump Theater has been especially interesting to them in that they believe they have proven both residual and intellectual hauntings of that location.
PDI is now made up of 5 team members who have different backgrounds in the Paranormal and range from being believers to completely skeptic. Though th team does have different beliefs in the paranormal, they all work closely and very well together accepting each and every member’s opinions. They do believe their diversity is what brings the most to the team by being able to review evidence and most importantly credit and discredit evidence by matter of discussion and debunking that which might not be concrete enough to bring to their clients.
As a team they have their own (and for some) personal reasons that they became involved in the paranormal. One of the member's first paranormal experience was in 2005 at the Spanish Military Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida when he took a picture through a window after the hospital was closed and caught a picture of two figures which appeared to be holding each other up as if being wounded. From that moment on he became interested in the paranormal and finding more evidence which included returning to St. Augustine for a few years after that experience.
In 2010 when their team was formed it was all by just talking about the TV shows that were on and then became a discussion of experiences and the next they knew PDI was formed. They now have PDI (Paranormal Detectives of Indianapolis) Indiana and PDI South which is located in Daytona Beach, Florida, consists of 4 team members and have been very active in investigations in that area.
PDI still has the same goals and ideals as most investigative teams out there; they still search for evidence, they try and understand and duplicate their evidence and they have interest in helping those who feel that they need proof of what may or may not be going on at their locations. They believe that every case investigated must be approached with an open mind and that discussing and forming a plan for investigations has proven to be useful and successful in their experiences. Though they have been approached about the “removal” of hauntings in a location they will never claim to be able to accomplish this but they will do their best to help the clients in any that they can.
