If you have ever thought that being a paranormal investigator may be your calling, you will want to consider taking the Paranormal 101 class presented by Kansas Paranormal Research Society (KsPRS) offered in Topeka and surrounding cities. This class is designed to teach the basics of investigating and as a per-requisite for more advanced paranormal investigating information that will be presented in future classes.
This particular class teaches students the basics they will need to know before beginning to investigate on their own or within a team setting. During the class, students will learn proper techniques for investigating, use of basic types of equipment, and to review collected data for evidence of paranormal activity. The information presented in this class is based on actual experiences of seasoned investigators during their investigations, training, and research.
“Our hope is to properly educate future investigators so they will be able to provide the safest and most accurate investigations to their clients in the future,” says Brenda Mason, founder of Kansas Paranormal Research Society (KsPRS).
The members of the paranormal team presenting the class have all been required to participate in this same course and continue to research the latest in techniques and equipment in order to further their education and present top quality service to their clients whether during investigations, events, or educational classes.
“Being a paranormal investigator is not at all glamorous. It takes patience, a lot of time, and can be very costly when you figure equipment and travel expenses. Being an investigator takes a lot of passion and commitment,” says Mason.
The full course is made up of four separate classes: 101, 201, 301, and 401. Students must take the first three classes in order to participate in the final class (401), which includes an investigation with the team, the opportunity to review evidence, and put together a proper reveal for the client.
