Paranoia: Ron Paul supporter says MO GOP 'open about rigging election'

According to one Ron Paul supporter, the Missouri GOP is "open" about rigging the election against the Texas Congressman, and claims the party "would not rule out a murder or two to get what it wants."

In a post at the Daily Paul, "meekandmild" wrote:

Sources known to me, that is close to the MO GOP leaders has informed me that the GOP has a plan in place to make sure Ron Paul doesn't do well in the CAUCUS. Today's primary (Feb 7, 2012) has no meaning, except maybe to show the GOP how it will have to work in the caucus to keep Ron Paul from placing well.

The poster continued:

This source who has been attending state GOP functions has told me the GOP leadership is very anit-Paul (sic) and will do whatever they can get away with to make sure Dr. Paul doesn't have a good finish.

After claiming the party would not rule out murder, the poster concluded: "And the GOP calls itself 'Christian'."  Of course, the poster did not offer any proof of this allegation.

Ron Paul lost all three contests that were held Tuesday, but did place a distant second in Minnesota.

In Missouri, Paul came in third place and received 12 percent of the vote.  Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum won the primary with 55 percent of the vote.

Throughout the primary season, various supporters of Ron Paul have made wild, unproven claims about vote fraud, "rigged" elections, and have even claimed the media would not report a win by the Texas Congressman.

But some in the Paul camp are apparently tired of the paranoia and crazy conspiracy theories.

One commenter at the Daily Paul wrote:

It's fine to post your thoughts, but I don't think the message is helpful. It's a message of paranoia and fear. Just because Ron Paul doesn't win an election, or even come in second, doesn't mean it was necessarily stolen by fraud...or murder!

In response, another person wrote:

Yeah, we can just stick our heads in the sand and ignore the problem and it will go away...! Lol... You keep going with that and let me know how many times we win in this election by being perfect little sheeple... :-D

Naturally, there was no proof of the allegation - something pointed out by another commenter - and the Missouri GOP said it will not murder anyone.
